Trond Oskars, PhD Candidate

Trond is native from Norway. He concluded is MSc. in Deceber 2013 with a thesis on the systematics and phylogeny of cephalaspidean gastropods. He begun his PhD thesis in July 2014 about the diversity and speciation of shallow and deep water molluscs in the marine realm (genera Haminoea and Scaphander) at a worldwide scale. Trond is using morphology and Bayesian molecular methods of species delimitation to descriminate between species. One of the goals is to understand the drivers of diversification and the causes of present biogeographic patterns in both shallow and deep sea faunas.
