This laboratory is shared with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the University of Bergen.

The laboratory is equipped with:

Coating units (Ir, Pt, Au/Pd and C)
Critical point dry units
Two scanning microscopes (Zeiss and JEOL)
Two transmission microscopes (Philips and JEOL)



The Zeiss scanning microscope is equipped with STEM detector, EDS detector for element analysis, WDS detector for element analysis, backscatter detector, cathode luminescence detector. Variable pressure detector.
