Andrea Zamora, PhD candidate

Andrea is native from Mexico. She is doing a PhD on Global diversification patterns in the Ocean: Systematics, phylogeny and biogeography of the marine molluscan family Aglajidae (Gastropoda, Cephalaspidea). The broad aim of this project is to identify patterns and mechanisms that regulate speciation in the marine realm with emphasis on temperate and tropical shallow-water faunas. A phylogeny of the family Aglajidae will be produced and its generic classification revised. A global systematics revision of the genus Chelidonura will be attempted by combining anatomical, morphological, and DNA sequence data.
